Hawker-Overend Fishing

In addition, searching the fast run down to Dukes Pool with either wet flies or Czech nymphs…

In higher water it can be fished from the bank or by carefully wading close to the right bank. Furthermore, it hold a good head of trout & grayling which can easily be targeted using all the main fly fishing techniques…
Twll Run is a short 80m stretch of water that is located directly after Joby’s and runs into the Pump House Pool. The bottom is mainly composed of gravel with occasional boulders closer to the left bank. When the river is close to its summer level, I find it easy to wade down close to the right bank and fish the fly for grayling, trout and salmon….

The Church Pool is first pool on the Village Beat, just above the ‘Old Road Bridge’. Salmon often hold in the slow, deep part of the pool, which can easily be fished from the right bank with the fly or spinner. The tail pool is a good place for fly fishing for trout & grayling…
